For many years, LSD's home was on eight acres in the Beauregard Town area of downtown Baton Rouge. The physical address was 504 Mayflower Street; the other streets that formed the school's boundaries wereSouth Boulevard, East Boulevard, and St. Philip Street. From 1977 until 1985, this school was known as "North Campus," with "South Campus" being Phase I of the new school on Brightside Lane. The photo below is of the Vocational Building, which in the present day houses the headquarters of the Baton Rouge City Police.
